Why coaching, counselling, or psychotherapy?

In coaching or counselling you are reflecting on your thoughts and feelings that relate to your professional behaviour or personal life. I would like to accompany you in a professional way and offer you my support. Psychotherapy is also about releasing you from your suffering and recognizing, reflecting and changing your (conscious or unconscious) behavioural patterns.

My concern is to accompany you to develop a self-determined and fulfilled life. You are the centre of attention in our conversations. It is important to me to assist you in the process of finding adequate solutions and to strengthen your own resources.

I offer psychotherapy in Austria as a licensed psychotherapist according to the Austrian Psychotherapy Act. I mainly work virtually (online) and carry out counselling and coaching sessions worldwide.

“I had the opportunity to speak about my problems with someone who is neutral. This has helped me a lot to find solutions to my problems.”

How do I work?

Encounter is important to me. I want to make this possible and, together with you, enable you to find a way into a better future. My approach is based on solution-focused coaching and humanistic psychotherapy, especially the psychodrama according to Jakob L. Moreno. My work is therefore action- and resource-oriented.

I would like to support you in difficult situations and help you to take important decisions on the following themes:

Your wellbeing is always central. I work with affected adults as well as with their families. I can conduct the conversations in German, English or French, mainly online via zoom. At selected times, I am also available in my practice in the Wattens – Hall.i.T. region (Austria).

“I felt very well understood. The method used really appealed to me because it allowed me to change perspective.”

Who am I?

After a long career in development cooperation and organizational development, among others, as Secretary General of an international women’s peace organization, as Head of Delegation in complex disaster relief operations and as Head of Department in an international humanitarian organization, I have co-established a research centre on global health in an academic institution and worked there as Executive Director for more than ten years. Since 2020, I have been working freelancing and founded in cooperation with a colleague HumanImpact5 HI5 and later HI5 Governance. In addition to providing individual and team coaching, counselling and psychotherapy, I offer with HI5 Governance consulting services in organizational development, management, policy research, and leadership and skills training on policy and governance processes in the areas of migration, global health and development cooperation.

I followed my training as a humanistic psychotherapist (psychodrama) at the University of Innsbruck and since 2022 I am registered in the list of psychotherapists of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and have completed further trainings in online coaching and online psychodrama. I am also a member of the Austrian Professional Association for Psychotherapy, Psychodrama Helvetia, the Swiss Coaching Association, and the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).

How can you contact me?

I would be happy to give you more information about my offers in a non-binding, free 30-minute conversation and talk to you about your concerns, desires and expectations.

I would be delighted to hear from you:

„Michaela has helped me in a short period of time to find satisfaction in my job again and to bring clarity to my life.“
